Why Is Overtime Not Reflected in Payroll?

Updated over a month ago

Below are some common reasons why overtime may not reflect on the payroll:

1. Overtime Eligibility Not Enabled

To check on the setting ,kindly navigate to the employee's personal detail page and scroll to the payroll settings . Ensure the overtime eligibility button is on for payroll calculation .

2. Overtime Not Officially Issued by Employer

Overtime must be formally authorized or issued by the employer. If the overtime work was performed without prior approval or wasn't entered into the system by management, it may not be recognized during payroll processing.

3. Payroll Not Reprocessed After Overtime Was Added

Even when overtime is correctly issued and recorded, the payroll must be reprocessed to include the updated data. If this step is missed, the system will generate pay based on the previous data set, excluding the new overtime hours.
