Workpay users may encounter certain errors during the employee onboarding process or payroll processing. These issues typically relate to onboarding limits, incomplete actions, or missing employee data in payroll. Below are the common challenges and solutions.

Common Onboarding Errors & Solutions

1. Error: Unable to Add More Employees to Onboarding

Cause: Your account has reached the maximum number of employees for your current subscription plan. Solution: To resolve this issue:

  • You can purchase additional employee slots for your account.

  • After updating your subscription, you will be able to onboard additional employees without errors.

2. Error: Cannot Add Employee Payment Details During Onboarding

Cause: The employee’s onboarding process has not been completed. Solution: Follow these steps to complete the onboarding and add payment details:

  1. Navigate to Employees > Onboarding.

  2. Open the specific employee’s onboarding profile and complete the process.

  3. Once onboarding is complete, return to Employees.

  4. Locate the employee row and click the three dots (...) > Edit employee.

  5. Proceed to Payroll > Payment details.

  6. Enter the necessary payment information and save your changes.

Payroll Processing Issues & Solutions

1. Error: New Employee Does Not Appear in Payroll

Cause: Employee details were updated or activated after payroll data was last processed. Solution:

  1. Reprocess payroll to include the newly activated or updated employee.

  2. If the employee remains absent from payroll, verify that their country or residency settings match the payroll’s designated country.

  3. Reprocess the payroll once adjustments are made.
