How to set a Non-Resident Employee

Click on the 'Employees' on the side bar menu

  • Click on the Employee's profile

  • Go to Payroll details

  • Under the statutory information, click on the edit icon on the top right side of the card

  • Check the "Non-Resident" checkbox

  • Click Save

  • The information is updated automatically.

In Kenya, non-residents are not eligible for any reliefs and tax exemptions. This means they will be taxed on the full gross pay and do not enjoy personal or insurance/NHIF reliefs.
