      How to upload/update NHF deduction | Nigerian payroll

      National Housing Fund (NHF) is being calculated as 2.5% of Gross salary

      • Navigate to the 'Payroll' module.
      • Click on 'Run payroll' and then 'View Payroll Data'.
      • Click on 'Bulk Import'.
      • Select the effective month and employment type for NHF deductions.
      • Click 'Generate template' to download the payroll data sheet.
      • Open the sheet and find the 'Deduct NHF' column.
      • Type in 'YES' for employees to be deducted NHF, 'NO' otherwise.
      • Type in 'Recurring' or 'One Time' for deduction frequency.
      • Optionally, set an end date for recurring deductions.
      • Only update NHF info for relevant employees; delete other rows if not needed.

        N.B: Please do not delete columns to avoid issues when reuploading the sheet.

      • Save the updated sheet.
      • Reupload it via 'Bulk Import' on the payroll data page.
      • Click 'Browse files', select the saved file from your PC, and save.
      • Confirm that the details have been correctly picked up on the Payroll data sheet.
      • Reprocess the payroll afterwards.
