Pilot Launch: Workpay Wallet for EWA & Loan Disbursements
As of the 15th May 2025, Workpay has launched the pilot rollout of its new in-app digital wallet, designed to streamline how employees access all their Earned Wage Access (EWA) and short-term loan disbursements.
As part of this pilot phase, selected employees will now receive disbursements directly into the Workpay Wallet rather than through M-PESA or bank transfers, whether withdrawing to M-PESA or to the bank or paying bills directly from the wallet. This exclusive early access enables employees to experience a faster, more secure, and more flexible way to manage financial payouts on the Workpay platform.
The wallet is part of Workpay’s effort to give employees more financial tools and services, all within the Workpay platform.
Why is this change happening?
The Workpay Wallet brings several key benefits:
- They get real-time access to their disbursed funds.
- They can track their balance and transaction history in one place.
- Payout failures and delays are significantly reduced.
- They gain more flexibility and control over how they use their money.
The wallet is part of our effort to give you more financial tools and services — all within the Workpay platform.
